What is Total Protection service for Smartphones?

Total protection service is a repair or replacement service for smartphones and Apple iPad, where the device will be repaired for accidental out of warranty damages including broken screens or liquid damages. If the device is beyond economical repair it will be replaced. This service can save you from up to SR 5000 repair and replacement costs.


What are Total Protection service benefits?

- Repairing Smartphone’s accidental out of warranty damages like broken screens or liquid damages at a fixed price (Repair Fees).

- If the damage is beyond economical repair, customer pays (Replacement Fees) and the phone will be replaced.

- Repairs & Replacement services are certified services conducted by professional technicians.


Why should I get Total Protection service for my device?

Your new device comes with manufacturer’s warranty which only covers factory faults (hardware and software defects), it does NOT cover accidental damage which represents >95% of the problems people have with their device.

With Total Protection Service, we repair your device at a fixed service fee of SR 99, or replace your device for a replacement service fee of SR 349, saving you time, hassle of not having a working device, and up to SAR 5000 in repair or replacement costs.

24-months Platinum plan includes Value Protection service only for customers who didn’t avail any repairs or exchange. Value protection offers customers 50% of the device’s purchase value when customer wants to upgrade to a new device within the first 13 months of device purchase.

How can I subscribe to the service?

You can subscribe to this service from the Smartphone or Apple iPad sales sections and only if subscription is bought with a new Smartphone or iPad. It is mandatory to have the device and the Service subscription in the same invoice, whether you are buying from Jarir showrooms or Jarir.com

 


What are the Repair and Replacement Service Fees?

SR 99* for every repair (maximum 2 repairs)

SR 349* for every replacement (maximum 1 replacement)

Fees are paid in advance at the time of repair or

replacement after confirmation.

What are the Repair and Replacement timelines?

It will take 3-5 working days to perform the service of repair or replacement in addition to 7 - 3 days of shipping and receiving (transit time), depending on the store location.

What is Value Protection in Total Protection Service?

Value Protection is an additional benefit in Platinum plan and only for customers that didn’t avail any repairs or exchange. It allows customer to exchange their device to upgrade to a new phone within the first 13 months from purchase. The device value is protected by 50% of the purchase price and it is offered as rebate when upgrade to a new device

 


How does the device upgrade work with Value Protection?

To get 50% back under Value Protection, within 13 months you need to do the following:

- Handover your old device with TPS Platinum to the nearst Jarir showroom.

- The device will be inspected on the spot.

- Once the device passes the physical inspection list you will be given a rebate equal to 50% of the initial purchase value

- This rebate can be used only to buy any new device with TPS Platinum.

 


What is the acceptable condition of my device when I upgrade it using Value Protection?

It should be in good working condition without any out of warranty repairs or replacements done, with GoogleAccount/iCloud/Find My iPhone turned off and any user/password/personal data removed. See device inspection checklist.

Remarks

- In case a same specification device replacement is not available, customer will be notified to choose a different color or a device with closest comparable specifications will be provided.

- Once the device is replaced once or repaired twice, whichever comes first, customer will no longer be able to avail further repair or replacement and the subscription will end.

- Total protection service can’t be cancelled or refunded.

- This Service is provided by a 3rd party service provider through jarir bookstore.
